The NBC affiliate out of San Jose, CA (my former locale) has changed their website - and must say it's for the better. A lot of NBC news stations seem to use a template from Internet Broadcasting Systems. It's busy and disorganized.
The new NBC Bay Area (as they've re-branded themselves - formerly known as NBC11) website is much more modern and has a logical flow from weather to traffic with easy-to-navigate tabs for different news sections at the top of the page.
There's also a wap (wireless application protocol) page. When you browse the site from and iPhone, for instance, it automatically redirects you to a very sharp, very informative version of the site formatted specifically for mobile devices.
When I go to add it to my homepage on the iPhone though, it's missing a native NBC Bay Area icon for the shortcut. Most mobile sites (in fact, the previous NBC 11 site had it) have one. Perhaps it's forthcoming.
