I am still in mourning over Tim Russert, whom I had watched nearly every Sunday morning since my teenage years (and in recent months if I missed an episode of MTP, I've been able to sync the video podcast to my iPhone to get up to speed).
And now we have lost George Carlin. I am incredibly saddened by this, as well. He was, perhaps, one of my favorite comedians. His brash, crude, break-the-mold routines were just so outrageously entertaining. Larry King is doing a tribute show to him right now and guest Lewis Black is on the verge of tears. That is not something you see every day.
So go to Google and type in the "7 words you can't say on TV". When you get the results there will be a link to a video near the top. Watch it. And laugh.
Perhaps I'll work up the gall to post it on the blog in the coming days. I keep my posts pretty clean, so it would be a departure in style for me. But it's one of many legendary (and possibly the best known) bits to come from such a spectacular entertainer.
